Scones Produces 8 servings. 2 1/4 (2 1/2) cup all purpose flour * the dough was too wet 1/2 cup white sugar 2 Tbl spoons baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 cup irish butter (6 oz). Prechill in freezer for 10 to 20 minutes. 1 large egg slightly beaten 1 cup half and half 1/4 to 1/2 flour for rolling and forming dough * added more flour to bring the dough together Mix dry ingredients and cut in butter use electric mixer with wisk to a sandy texture or by hand for a rough scone. Add dried fruit. Mix wet ingredients and add to the bowl separately add to bowl. Use dough hook to mix and drop on to floured surface. Knead a bit and roll to 3/4 to 1 inch thick circle. Cut into 8 pie like wedges and bake for 15 minutes. Use middle rack at 390F (400F) degrees. * needed more time after 15min, baked for 17min
