I recently noticed a few "hot/defective" pixels showing up in my pictures. The pixels are more noticeable under low light conditions.

Picture taken with long exposure and cap on reveals additional defective pixels.
Dust can be removed by exposing the CCD and blowing air on it while holding camera upside down so dust particles will fall out of camera cavity.
